Explore North Asheville Neighborhoods

North Asheville’s Beaverdam neighborhood is the area surrounding Beaverdam Creek. Full of trees and lush greenery, it's just a few miles north of downtown Asheville. Beaverdam is a desirable and bikeable neighborhood close to multiple parks and the Country Club of Asheville. In Beaverdam, you get the best of suburban living while still being only a few minutes from downtown Asheville.

North Asheville’s Grace neighborhood is a quiet, friendly community with a diverse mix of homeowners. renters, residential homes, and retail. Grace is home to Grace Episcopal Church and Grace Covenant Presbyterian. Grace’s neighborhoods are filled with gorgeous craftsmen that run alongside a section of Merrimon Ave, a main throughway that offers  just about everything you could need, from the US Post Office to many independent restaurants, ice cream parlors, and pharmacies.

North Asheville’s Grove Park neighborhood is easily one of the most beautiful areas of Asheville. The Grove Park Inn and its surrounding neighborhood sit north of town in the hills that lead to the Blue Ridge Mountains. The Grove Park neighborhood a relatively large area just south of Beaverdam and ranging from Town Mountian Road, on the east, to Kimberly Ave, on the west. This neighborhood has some of the finest views of Asheville from the north and some of the most walkable residential streets close to downtown. Grove Park is a can’t miss whether visiting town for the first time or hoping to find your dream home.

North Asheville’s Lake View Park and Beaver Lake neighborhoods are two distinct but adjacent residential areas that folks from all over North Asheville go out of their way to visit for the 1.9-mile walking/running loop of Beaver Lake. These two neighborhoods are lovely and represent some of the most sought-after residences in Asheville. Lake View Park is a residential neighborhood of over 500 homes.

North Asheville’s Ventana neighborhood is a private, gated community on the border of Woodfin. Ventana prides itself on a combination of luxury and beauty of the mountains. Although it’s only minutes north of downtown, its mountain views make you feel as though you are tucked into the Blue Ridge Parkway. 

Beyond North Asheville are a number of wonderful towns worthy of a visit and exploration. Some of the most popular are Woodfin, Asheville’s nearest neighbor to the north; Weaverville with its quaint Main Street; Marshall, which is experiencing a renaissance of art and downtown growth; and Barnardsville, for its spaciousness and gorgeous rolling mountain views.
